Design Concept: this work is an organic combination of the reproducibility of art and the core of Chinese artistic spirit – naturalism. Lao Zi, the author of Tao Te Ching, is regarded as the founder of Taoism. Through the shaping of his carefree and contented manner, it showed that the thought of “Tao follows nature” and the spiritual world of quietness and inaction were integrated with heaven and earth, which revealed the close connection between nature and the way of nature and makes heaven and man unite as one. The shape of the work is free and easy, and the lines of the clothes are flowing in a “line shaping”, which stretches smoothly and vividly. The unglazed cloth in the work highlights the simplicity and profundity of the character, returning to the state of nature. This work has won national gold award and been rated as a national treasure, which has also been collected by China National Arts and Crafts Museum.

Design Concept: Socrates pointed to the sky and said that the situation is unpredictable, that is to say, everything is impermanent, and eternity can only be found from itself. The world is granted by God, so people should abide by ethics. Confucius has long said that as man is between heaven and earth, so he should practice benevolence, righteousness, propriety, wisdom and faith to build a harmonious society. The law of nature is no more than Yin and Yang, back to Yin and face to Yang. You are in me, and I am in you, endlessly and all over again. Through the creation of the dialogue between the two wise men in the East and the West, it indicates the integration of two human civilizations, which is the general direction of future social development.

Design Concept: using plain clay combined with innovative “line shaping” technique, this work displays the elegant and beautiful shape of a girl. From its simplicity we can feel the delicateness. It also expresses the girl’s serene, graceful, solemn and not frivolous temperament.
